We always welcome proposals for future volumes.  We publish a wide range of material but are always keen to hear of projects which could develop our range.  The only essential criterion is that it must relate to an aspect of Somerset’s history.

Most of our publications are transcripts or collations of primary source material.  Please look at our online shop as a guide to the type of volumes we publish.

If you have an idea for a volume please send us your initial proposal using the form below or write to the Editor.  In your message please include the proposed title of your text; a summary of the text; the prospective size of the text or volume and a prospective timescale. Please also include your phone number or address so we can contact you.  Alternatively, write to the address below including the information shown in the form below and the details requested above.  We can then provide you with guidance on its suitability and advise you on any layout and presentation requirements we may have before you submit a full proposal.  We also offer an editorial service if needed.  Please note that we do not pay royalties to contributors.
